The One With The Workouts

I bought myself a Christmas present.. Wii Fit Plus. I've been using it often... I love the updates from the original Wii Fit.

Today I tallied up my hours & calories burned for January so far. 987 calories in 3.4 hrs. That's pretty good for me... the professed exercise avoider. I've been starting out each exercise w/ a 20 minute run which burns app. 130 or so calories. Then I change up the last 15-20 mins of working out. Sometimes I do yoga, sometimes boxing, sometimes strength training... and sometimes I mix in the games that are so fun to play like the obstacle course or snowball fight. :)

According to the Wii Fit scale I'm down 4 lbs since when I started on Jan 1st. "Only" 20 more to go... I'm sure that a lot of my weight loss was Holiday gain. I'm where I was about 2 mos ago... before the Holiday season. :P

More About Dieting

I think that one of my biggest struggles with loosing weight is emotional/stress eating. I'm not even sure why I do it, which is what makes it more difficult to control. I KNOW that food will never 'cure' whatever it is I'm struggling with or stressing out about, but it's as tho logic flies out of my brain when it comes to this.

Weight was never even a thought on my mind in my teen years and even in my first year of marriage... until I had my first baby. Since then it's always on my mind and a constant battle that I have yet to overcome even once since I started having children.

And the stress eating is the hardest because I don't care in the moment... but then I feel guilty, which makes me want to eat more, which makes me feel guilty... It's all a vicious cycle that needs to end, but I'm not exactly sure how to make it end.

The One About 10%

So I've been doing WW for a while now... and they say slow & steady wins the race, but I'd like to see faster results. But today is a reason to celebrate. I hit 10%!! In WW world that is a big deal! I've lost 22 lbs since January. I didn't start WW until April and have lost 11 lbs since then. I'm pretty pleased, tho I wish it were faster... I still have 21.5 lbs to go tho... So I guess I've also hit my 1/2 way mark. Also... I've lost all my last pregnancy weight + 1 lb... So that's another reason to celebrate.

Another Random One

I got a new pair of heels and feel like a whole new woman. I haven't bought heels since my wedding 9 years ago.... and those were 'wear only once for the wedding' shoes.

I found the joy of belts. I'm loosing weight and while my larger size jeans fall down, my next size down leave a little muffin top, which I hate. So I started wearing a belt on my larger size jeans. They don't fall down that way, but also don't leave that icky 'muffin top'.

I'm tired of friends who only want to be friends when it's convienient for them. :/ Wondering if I can change that some how... or would it be better to continue to live in my own little world and cut ties w/ people on the outside. OR... do I just let it continue to be what it is. That's what I usually do. Let the other dictate how the friendship will run it's course. Blech.

I'm super excited that Matt & I have a WHOLE weekend to ourselves soon!! Yay!! We'll be celebrating our 9th anniversary!!

I'm super excited that if all stays on schedule we will be DONE school by mid-end of April!!! WOOHOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

How's that for randomness. :D

The One With Coffee

Good morning! I'm sitting here sipping coffee and ignoring the messes of clutter around me. I'm not sure exactly what happens, but in spite of daily cleaning from the time I get up to the time I go to bed I cannot keep up with things lately. Course i'm not constantly cleaning... there's schooling, nursing, diaper changes, playtime w/ the kids, cooking, laundry.... the list could continue. It's just for a time... and before I know it I won't be nursing and changing diapers anymore and I"ll be able to keep up a little better. It's amazing how much time nursing a little one can take!

Ohh, Matt made the coffee strong this morning... just what I needed after a night of nursing every 1.5 to 2 hrs. *sigh*

I lost 3 lbs this week! Woohoo me!! That means 28 lbs down since Alyssa was born 11 weeks ago! I only exercised once... but I am keeping track of my calorie and fat intake using http://www.fitday.com/ I hope I continue on the weightloss path. I usually end up sabatoging myself and not continue w/ it. Not sure why I do that... I just do.

And now the clutter is getting to me... and the baby is waking, so I'm off to start the day!
